Fillings, Crowns & Bridges in Livonia, MI
A broken tooth, a worn filling or a gap in your smile can make everyday choices harder. Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing teeth and replacing missing ones. At Revive Dental, the starting point is an examination and a conversation about your concerns.
Choosing a repair
A tooth-colored filling can repair certain cavities or small areas of damage. A crown covers more of a tooth when it needs additional support. The amount of healthy tooth remaining, your bite and the location of the damage help determine which option is appropriate.
Replacing missing teeth
Bridges, dentures and implant restorations offer different ways to replace missing teeth. They differ in how they are supported, cleaned and maintained. Ask about both fixed and removable options, and whether nearby teeth or gum health affect your choices.
What to discuss at your appointment
Let us know whether the tooth hurts, when the problem started and whether an existing crown or filling has loosened. After the evaluation, ask which treatment is recommended, what alternatives exist, how many visits to plan for and whether a temporary restoration will be needed.
Care after a restoration
Dental work still needs daily cleaning and follow-up. Fillings and crowns can wear or need replacement over time; they are not a lifetime guarantee. If a restoration feels loose or your bite feels wrong, contact the office for advice.
Questions about restorative dentistry
Do all damaged teeth need a crown?
No. Some can be repaired with a filling, while more extensive damage may call for other treatment. An examination is needed before choosing a repair.
Can I get an estimate before deciding?
Ask for the proposed treatment, estimated fees and a benefits check before scheduling. Insurance coverage and patient costs depend on your particular plan and treatment.
